English Heritage Publishes a Book on Pub GamesEnglish Heritage publishing house, focusing on the UK's sports legacy, is currently producing on a book on pub games in the UK, including backgammon and probably, darts, dominoes and other games that go well with beer and kidney pies.
The book, planned to be called Played at the Pub, will join the Played in Britain series, which includes thematic albums such as Great Lenghts, a through review on UK indoor swimming pools from a historic and architectural point of view, and A Load of Old Balls, on the different shapes and purposes of UK's old balls, as well as local titles, reviewing the sports heritage of big cities such as Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham.
