Charity Backgammon in the UK

Do you want to play backgammon for good causes?

Friday, January 30, 2009 is the national RNLI fundraising day. On this day, you can play backgammon to raise funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, and nibble stake or sausages at special rate at the Maltsters Arms pub in Tuckenhay.

The Grampus Inn at Lee Bay, North Devon is launching a new games night on Wednesdays starting from 7:30 PM. On top of backgammon and chess, Grampus games night will include classic pub games such as pool, darts and tiddlywinks. The incomes will be contributed to Lee Village Hall.

The Norwood Charity Foundation (for children and families) is holding the Grand Finale of its Norwood Backgammon Series 3 charity tournament on January 26, 2009 in London. The 1st prize is £1500, 2nd £500 and 3rd prize - £250.
