I have come across players lately believeing that backgammon will be revitalized very soon, due to the efforts of online gaming sites and the introduction of TV.
Others think that all this is a big artificial hype and poker is far too big to let backgammon grow in a healthy and propsperous way.
What do you think?

Backgamon is huge with travelers in Thailand. During my two week vacation there, I developed an obsession for the game after my first day of arrival. I noticed the gammon dices rolling on the beautiful white sandy beaches in Kophanyan and people of all ages playing under the shade in a hut with a shake in one hand and dice in another! Even the internet cafés were packed with tourists playing backgammon, which itself Is a growing phenomena!
