Backgammon Live in London - The Book was compiled by Sean Williams and Michael Main, two of the most hyperactive figures in the UK backgammon scene. Main, also known as Mad Mike Monk is the official organized of the London backgammon event and the monthly Backgammon in London tournament (previously called Backgammon in Camden).
Backgammon Live in London - The Book brings together a collection of photos, stories and memories mostly from last year's backgammon event. In order to appeal to backgammon players who didn't take part in the 2007 Backgammon in London tournament, the book also features match analysis, quiz positions and backgammon articles. Many local backgammon experts have contributed to the book: Mad Mike Main wrote about the history of the London tournament; Chris Bray, The Independence backgammon columnist and also the champion of the last BG in London monthly event shared a seminar, Peter Bennet had analyzed a few backgammon positions and more...
The book was released both in a full colored hardcover and a black & white paperback. The hardcover version costs £33.25 (not including p&p) and the paperback is priced at £5.95. Since Backgammon Live in London includes dozens of photos from past tournaments, the colored version worth the extra £28.
