3rd Portuguese Open 2008The European backgammon circuit is getting ready for the upcoming 3rd Portuguese Open. The prestigious backgammon tournament will take place at the Casino Estoril, located on the Estoril coast not far from Lisbon from April 29 to May 4, 2008. The 3 top winners of the first season of the European Backgammon Tour (EGBT) will be announced during the Portuguese Open event.
The 3rd Portuguese Open will launch the second season of the European Backgammon Tour. The winner of the main flight will earn free entrance to the second tournament in the series, the Georgian Open 2008, scheduled to take place on July 31-August 5, 2008 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The 3rd Portuguese Open will include backgammon open championship, Davis Doubles championship and the traditional Friday night party. Added prize can be as high as €25,000 and Texas Holde'm poker will be available as well.
